I knew it would be a 2 pin plug but it came with a British plug adapter which is brilliant. However the one from seller Sotel had been opened and had the adapter fitted incl in price, the one bought from Amazon as seller did not so had to purchase as well. Once fitted they are secure and encase the continental plug. HTH **Q: Does this machine use coffee pads or pods?** A: My machine uses pads **Q: can I use my ground coffee in the top** A: No you can't. You need to buy suitable coffee pads. You have to be very careful as the coffee will go everywhere The first time it happened I checked as I thought I’d not replaced the parts correctly after cleaning but it’s happened many times since, to the point that I’m thinking of changing it .
