So far though, they are great and haven't gotten scratched or chipped in my dishwasher or with use. They are quite small and they compliment my white Williams-Sonoma dishes beautifully. I bought them because I felt that my salad plates were too big for desserts, snacks or setting out small bits of food. These fit the bill perfectly. The glass is thick and the design with the scalloped edged is simple and elegant. I bought 2 sets of 6 plates in March and am now ordering another set of 6. They get used every day in my house, both casually and as an elegant way to end a more formal meal.UPDATE: I've had these plates for a year now and LOVE them. These are really thick and have held up well to daily use and cleaning in the dishwasher.
