## Description

Product Description The most proven riflescope in history has been made deadlier than ever. From the class-leading 91% light transmission to the nearly indestructible one-piece tube, every aspect of the Trophy XLT is optimized to elevate what has become the American standard for excellence in the field. All models feature fully multi-coated optics for ultra-bright images at those precious moments between dark and almost dark. Rigorous recoil testing proves its on-piece tube offers utmost dependability in the field, and the included Butler Creek flip-up caps shield your lenses from precipitation and fogging. Compare and you'll see no other riflescope in its class, from any manufacturer, foreign or domestic, can compete. .com Blazing Target Acquisition. Peak Accuracy. There's nothing like a red dot for fast target acquisition and accuracy in dim conditions, and no one makes red dots like Bushnell. The TRS-25 1x25 red dot is engineered with Amber-Bright optics to help you quickly distinguish between a brown tree and a brown critter. Thanks to the scope's multicoated optics, hunters will have no problem seeing their target in low-light conditions. Other features include a 100-percent waterproof/fogproof/shockproof construction, a dry-nitrogen-filled housing, and a CR2032 battery. About the Sight:This sight can be easily used with both eyes open (eye relief is unlimited), increasing the shooter's awareness of the surrounding environment and providing faster target acquisition. There is no need for centering, due to the parallax free design in which the dot follows the movement of the user’s eye while remaining fixed on the target. The TRS-25 delivers full size performance in a sight with reduced size and low power consumption.Mounting the Sight:The TRS-25 sight mounts easily on any Weaver style or Picatinny rail. An Allen style cross screw is used to secure the sight to the rail, and the clamping system provides adequate strength to keep it securely mounted. Once resistance is felt when tightening the screw it should be rotated no more than ¼ additional turn (over-tightening the screw may strip the threads). About Red Dot Lens Positioning:All red dot sights have an objective lens at the front of the unit that is spherical in shape. However, unlike a conventional riflescope, the objective lens in a red dot sight is positioned off axis and appears to be tilted when looking at the sight. This angle of the front lens allows the light generated by the battery powered LED light source inside the unit to be reflected back into the sight. The reflected light becomes the “dot” or aiming reference that the user sees when a red dot sight is switched on. This engineered “bending” of light is what makes today’s red-dot sights so popular and easy to use. Adhesive is used on the inside of the sight to secure the LED to the inside of the tube. By design, the led package intrudes slightly on the field of view.About the Red Dot Reticle:The TRS-25 utilizes a crisp, sharp red dot reticle. A control knob is used to adjust the red dot setting. A certain amount of resistance is designed into the control knob to ensure that the sight is not inadvertently turned on. The red dot may appear blurry if the dot intensity is set too high for the ambient light conditions. This is most likely to occur indoors with artificial, fluorescent lighting. The illumination control knob should only be set at the highest settings for use in bright ambient light conditions; for example, outdoors on a sunny day. An illumination setting that is too high for ambient light conditions typically results in a dot that appears distorted and non-concentric. For best results, increase the red dot setting until the scope gives the user an aiming reference that is perceptible but not glaring. Great red dot sight for the money with some minor design/quality concerns

*by G***W on Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2013*

If you're looking for a red dot sight on a budget then you found quite possibly the best sight on the market for such an instance! I've owned the Vortex Strikefire at nearly twice the price and this thing hits it out of the park in quality, weight, brightness, and size! I've put my Bushnell on my Ruger 10/22 and an AR (you'll need a 1 inch riser for an AR) and it has performed great. After about 500 rounds of 22LR and 100 rounds of 5.56, the dot has stayed zeroed and tight on the rail. Brightness level of 5 or 6 is all you really need on a bright day. Sight comes almost perfectly zeroed to 50 feet out of the box and just take some time to sight it in at the range and you won't have to worry about it ever again. The weight and size is impressive especially attached to an AR where every ounce counts when carrying the rifle around the woods or target shooting all afternoon. The batteries are cheap and plentiful with a life of about 3000 hours on low, so you can expect 1000 on high maybe, still a good chunk of time for such a small battery. The clicks on the brightness dial are very firm and the seals are all sealed with rubber o-rings for water-proofing.My only NEGATIVE issue with this sight is two things:- The Hex screw to secure to a tactical rail is cheap and will start to strip if not careful. Not sure about replacement options.- At about the 4-5 o-clock position looking down the sight you'll see a block cutting into your view where the laser beam is omitted to bounce off the front lens. Not a terrible obstruction but annoying sometimes.I'd recommend this sight to anyone looking for a higher-quality, low priced red dot sight!

The best red dot for the money hands down!!

*by T***D on Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2013*

First off, the lens is SUPPOSED to be crooked!!! So many people have knocked the sight or returned it for this reason. The angled lens reflects the LED back so your eye can see it! If it was flat you wouldn't see the red dot correctly. Read the manual people, I know reading sucks, but it is helpful. First off I own 2 of these and plan to actually buy a third that is how much I like this sight. I have both of mine mounted on the UTG MAD0340 tri slot double rail angle mount on my AR-15 and the second I take to work to quickly mount to our flat top M4's. The sight with this quick detach base will co-witness with your AR15 iron sights perfectly and attaches and detaches extremely easy. The sight has stayed zero since the first time I zeroed it and being taken on and off my rifle repeatedly and shot at least 1000 rounds through it. My girlfriend can shoot out a quarter sized hole on a target at about 30 yards using the bipod no problem. The dot is a great 3 MOA size so it is small and accurate out to longer distances. Putting shots in center mass at 50 yards standing is not a problem. The dot is crisp and clear, even in bright day light I have only put the setting up to about 5 or 6 out of the 11. Remember people when you take it out of the box to look at the dot while indoors anything over like a 2 or 3 will appear blurry, take it outside to see the crispness of the dot or only look at it under a 1 or 2 setting indoors. I did return one that I ordered because the dot did seem to disappear at the 10 O'clock position or so of the lens, so when you get the sight move it around so that you can make sure the dot reaches out the edges of the lens on all sides, my 2 I have now do not have this problem so it must have been a defect in that one. There will be a small box figure in the 4 o'clock position because that is the led transmitter, a sight this small will always have something similar because it can't be hidden inside like a larger tube model. This should not effect your sight picture greatly, I don't even notice it when actually aiming. I have yet to replace the battery so I will say the battery life seems great so far, and the cr 2032 batteries are easy to come by and cheap here on Amazon. I plan on buying a 3rd sight for my Benelli Supernova shotgun after I get my weaver rail for it. At around $80 this sight is in a class all of it's own. I tried buying a couple other red dots in this price range, but returned them and went with this one. I highly recommend this sight and for the price of 3 of these for my different guns, I am still at about half the price of the cheapest Aimpoint. I love the EOtechs and Aimpoints and ACOGs, we use them at work, but they are insanely expensive, especially if you want a red dot for more than one of your guns. Everyone who has shot my AR with this sight loves it. My military friends said it reminds them of the Aimpoints they used in the service. If you want an Aimpoint, save up and buy one, they are excellent sights made in Sweden, unrivaled battery life and insane accuracy, but for a T-1, which this sight seems to be a "clone" of you are looking at over $600. If you buy one of these you will love it, just make sure to look for the little nuances I mentioned when you get it.*** Update: I purchased my 3rd one and have it mounted on my Benelli shotgun, looks great. The one I use for work is lasting very well, it gets banged around on gates, fences, goes from AC in the truck to hot and humid outside no fogging. Leave the battery on the whole shift, no problems. Only need it at a 1 setting in the dark maybe a 7-9 in full sun. I believe the 3000 hour battery life is fairly accurate if in the 5-7 power range most likely. If you leave it on all the time on a 1 or 2 setting for home defense, I dont see any problem with the battery lasting 6 months or more. Will let you know if I find anything different. Also I put a drop of blue loctite on the scope screw and also on the tension screw on the UTG mount to prevent backing out of the screws. I highly suggest doing this to yours to prevent loosening and movement.

    Hex Scew Instantly Strips

*by M***1 on Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2013*

I just received a TRS-25 Trophy red dot sight that I bought from Amazon LLC. While tightening the hex screw for the first time onto my rifle's rail, the hex screw stripped out. It was the very first time I had mounted the sight, and the screw felt like it was made out of cheese. I believe the screw must have been defective, I have never seen a screw strip so fast, certainly not a hex one.***I sent the above description to Bushnell customer service, we shall see how they reply and I will follow this review up. I have to give this sight 1 star at this point since it was essentially unusable out of the box. I don't beleive that I overtightened the screw or abused it in any way. It should not have stripped out so quickly.***
