Wish selection was manual. *by P***D on March 16, 2025* This little USB-C male - female multimeter is great for telling if and how well your devices are charging. It automatically cycles between volts, amps and watts. It agrees with my other USB multimeter and my laptops internal sensors charging statistics within a margin of +-5% based on limited testing. I would prefer a button to allow manual selection is my only real complaint. The way I have it plugged it in, in the video should be avoided for prolonged periods as it puts undue stress on the port due to leverage. I would generally recommend attaching this to the lower cost of two devices normally the charger in most cases. I did not notice any data transfer issues and by all rights it should be passthrough and not active. This appears to be the case, and it is not detected as a device in windows. Based on it being clear and my familiarity with most of the internal components I would say this probably poses an extremely small risk from a cyber security standpoint. Being that it's passthrough it should not be detected on corporate networks though you should still follow your companies guidelines on peripherals this product would normally fall under a charging adapter category.
