Some of them arrive on my service without bringing reflex hammers or 128 Hz tuning forks which are essential for neurologic examination. I sell these at cost so the trainees can start examining patients right away. I bought a slightly heavier tuning fork for myself for a few extra dollars, and meanwhile, my colleague asked me to get this tuning fork for him to save a few dollars. Let's just say, we were both laughing.It does not weigh enough. It can barely generate any vibration, and the vibration is only maintained transiently for a few seconds with light application and is immediately lost with a reasonable degree of pressure.
