Seriously, we have *nothing* blackcurrant here in the States. I wasn't expecting the menthol to be so sinus-searingly strong, but I'll admit I didn't do as much research as I could have. That being said, the menthol dies down after a few minutes, leaving you extremely conscious of the location and status of your sinuses, and the cassis taste is pleasant and long-lasting afterward. Not what I thought I was getting, but I'm saving this gum for the next time I have a cold. Gum arrived quickly and seemed fresh. edit to add: Mentholated gum came in really handy when I had a cold with cough.
