The packaging gives some suggestions on ways to wear them, some of which I have tried and attached.The fabric is thin, but it is very stretchy. Pretty much exactly what I expected.I was hoping to use them as a face shield for skiing but I think they are a little too loose and thin to serve that purpose. There is enough fabric to cover my face though, and my goggles can be used to hold it in place, so for just preventing wind burn they might be a quick and cheap solution. The second option is to fold half of it inside of itself to create a double layer, this creates enough tension so it will stay on my face, but makes it too short to cover my neck.Other options:These will be great for covering my ears while running. The fabric gets about four times as thick as it gets bunched up (but doesn't look bulky) so my ears will be kept warm.One of the options is for it to be used as a "beanie" but I think its a little too tight for that. I do however think this option will be perfect for wearing under any rental helmets I might come across. Both my boyfriend and myself didn't want to be too hot with the heavier weight gaiter's we had seen and he'd owned in the past. These seemed like a great option, especially for the price! They definitely did the trick, but could have been a little tighter (for me at least). They are also made of a very thin synthetic material. I used these to protect my dreads while sleeping so it is a bit unnerving that they are slightly too large to stay on my head. A few times a night I have to adjust the head and wrap cuz its fallen over my eyes or off my head halfway.
