The ALA was a plus, but I don't care as much about the other two ingredients (gynostemma and resveratrol). Either way, I'm happy with my purchase. I bought a bottle of this supplement about a year ago and finished it but didn't try it again until almost six months later. I noticed when I finished the second bottle that the effect (more energy) was noticeable after about the third or fourth week both times. I missed several doses so it took me longer to finish the bottles than if I had taken all the doses on time.Also, at first I was taking the supplement after meals. Then I switched to taking them 20 to 30 minutes before meals since I saw that other supplements are said to be more effective that way. That might also have something to do with why I started to feel the effects after several weeks instead of right away.I didn't get extreme energy, btw. It was noticeable but not bouncing-off-the-walls energy. Which is good because I don't want to get all tense and jittery. I'm hoping to find out at my next health screening if my body has responded with lower blood sugar, blood pressure, and/or cholesterol. (Will post an update when I find out). Until then, I'm enjoying the increased energy.Anyway, I recommend. Just need to give it time and find the sweet spot for how and when you take it.***UPDATE***I got my annual screening done about a week ago and the results were interesting. My blood glucose was in the healthy range but it was slightly higher than it was about 8 months ago. Same with blood pressure. There was a major improvement in my cholesterol. I was actually really happy to see those results. I was expecting glucose and blood pressure to be really high because I have been under a massive amount of stress over the last several weeks and I have been eating a lot of processed carbs, but they were only elevated slightly. I wouldn't expect cholesterol to get worse so quickly after only a couple weeks of stress so it makes sense to me that it was clearly improved. I'm genuinely happy with the screening results compared to where I thought they would be otherwise. I'm pretty confident that the numbers would be way worse if I hadn't been taking ampk activator over the last month so my original rating stands. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It says it's not a weight loss supplement... but I think it works like one. *by S***N on January 10, 2019* Over this past summer, I tried the Keto diet in an attempt to shed a few, but ultimately gave it up (basically, the dietary restrictions were a little too strict for me, despite the decent results). Anyway, a couple months later, I had saw an online video advert about the AMPK enzyme and decided to check it out, and I eventually landed on this product. After experiencing an uncomfortable stomach for a day or so (like others have said), I started to notice that my urine smelled just like it did when I was on the Keto diet, which was weird. So, since I had some ketone strips left over, I tested my ketones levels and they were considerably higher than they ever were while I was on the Keto diet. I only had three or four test strips, but each one indicated high levels of ketones. Pretty weird.I only tested my urine for about a week, so I can't make anything close to a long term claim, but it kind of makes sense that this product, in theory, works similar to the Keto diet, as it is all about getting your body to metabolize fat (which in turn produces energy).Have I lost weight? No. I ate terribly in throughout the holidays so that just wasn't going to happen. But I do expect to lose weight now that I am eating better, exercising daily, fasting, and using this product.
