However, I will note a drawback with this particular configuration. The biggest problem is the remote. Why do you need a remote for a ceiling fan, and if a company is feels compelled to offer a remote control why then make the unit ONLY work with that remote. One cannot use the wall switch to dim the light, ONLY the remote, which eliminates any hope use integrating with Alexa. The light adjustment is pitiful. One has to run through the entire range to get to the setting they want. Example being, say you have the light at approximately 75% and you want to make it dimmer. You push the button and the result is the light has to get to full brightness first before is can start dimming the light. The control does not have up and down buttons. Only one button that takes you in what ever direction it was last going. There is no way to tell whether you are at the brightest of dimmest level since the remote does not have a top or bottom stop. When you reach the top, instead of stopping, it just starts back down again. Really disappointed in the controls. It's beautiful and puts out a lot of air. The remote is a really nice feature. I'm still trying to figure out where to keep it in my room to get the best use out of it.All of that said, holy crap was this thing difficult to hang. The directions were a bit hard to follow, so my SO and I struggled with construction. The part that attaches to the ceiling was so tight that we couldn't get the ball into the socket to hang it. I'll admit now, we ended up rigging it a bit and removing some parts so we could actually get it to hang up.Since we got it hooked up, the fan has been awesome.
