No, you're not getting a wet washcloth gathered down with soap (that's what you'd expect in a shower setting) but your getting a wipe that isn't dripping wet but very wet. The exact thing you want unless you just need to take a shower. I found the wipe was more than sufficient in the size and the wetness. I have no fear keeping a few of these in my car (I live in a hot climate) and thinking they will dry out. I only needed to use one and whenever I got home, I was still fresh and clean. This is the sister product to a feminine deodorant spray. It cleans and refreshens all at once and keeps you from second guessing yourself afterwards.
