The blade is made of SK5 high-carbon steel and came very sharp right out of the box. I like that it has a double-edge design, one side with 17 teeth per inch for cutting hardwoods and the other with 11 teeth per inch for softer woods. It makes the tool versatile for different projects. The beech wood handle feels comfortable and has that classic, traditional look that makes it nice to work with.One of the best things about this saw is how lightweight it is. I can work on small projects or trim pieces without my hands getting too tired. The cuts are clean and precise, which is exactly what I wanted for detail work. It’s definitely better suited for small jobs than for ripping large boards, but for its size it performs really well. You can tell some care went into the craftsmanship, the triple-ground teeth make for smooth cuts and a nice finish.There are a few downsides to keep in mind.
