It says: "Do not allow adults, children or pets to enter the treated area until vapors, mists and aerosols have dispersed and the treated area has been thoroughly ventilated." So, it looks like it is safe as long as it has "dispersed" and the area is "thoroughly ventilated". **Q: Do you have to turn off your pilot lights before use?** A: It says right on the front of the box "No need to turn off pilot lights" so you should be fine to leave it on. Maybe just don't place the can right next to the stove. **Q: I only want to fog my single bedroom. Do I need to cover(wash) my bedding, clothing before I go to bed or wear it?** A: I called the number on the Hot Shot Bedbug and Fleas box and I received help on the phone. They answered this question for me and said that as long as the product is dry, it is completely safe by the time you go back into your room. You do not need to cover/wash your bedding or clothing.
