They are a bit small for wider type bread sandwiches, so I also purchased the unbleached brown bags as they are larger. These create sentimental little thoughts! The sound of the paper as you open them is unmistakable nostalgia and I love the looks from friends when I hand them their special little bag with a treat. I was sitting on a retaining wall with several folks during my lunch in a park and you would have thought I was one of those really cute gals, from a commercial, in cutoff jeans eating a burger....with the way everyone turned to look and smile at me when I opened and arranged my little sandwich in this glassine bag! Was very funny!! I could have sold boxes of them on the spot.

**Q: Can you print on these? How can you personalize them?**
A: Yes I've printed on them. Although I use a laser printer. You can ink them, put lace, ribbon, inks, decoupage on them etc.

**Q: could you put candles in these**
A: No they are not flat on the bottom and probably will not be good for candle use.  I use them for cookies or goodies to give to people. They are like waxed paper.

**Q: Would this hold one fried pie made from a biscuit?**
A: Probably too small.  No gusset.

**Q: About how many ounces do these bags hold? I'm thinking about putting popcorn in them.**
A: Holds a 4 1\2" cookie very well.  No expansion gussets on sides. Might hold one cup popcorn only.

These wax paper bags are just what I was looking for. Everything is plastic in the stores. You cannot find a wax paper bag on the shelves. These are also a good value. The bags are slightly smaller than the cut rite brand bags. However, they are just as sturdy and perfect for snacks in lunches. I don't think they would fit a sandwich though.

These bags do not match the description. I purchased these bags from the same vendor last year around the same time for a graduation party. They are shorter and wider then previous purchase as well as being VERY thin and transparent, previous purchase was of better quality. I was running low and needed to make another purchase, so i came back to the same vendor. If the vendor is going to change the quality and look of the bag, then description and photo should match. Now I need to repurchase bags, which I need for next week and hope I get what I paid for. You can clearly see the difference in the bags, the longer bag on the Left was my original purchase last June. One on the right is the new purchase which is being returned for a refund.
