Boosted mpg, range, and power - I suspect my Audi 3.0 TDI had a clogged cat some 5 years after a DPF delete back in 2019. MPG was down and it felt like it was also down on power. Sometimes the "Italian Tune-up" (high rev driving) would briefly help by blowing a lot of crap out the back, but it would go back to reduced after a day or two. I had been using the Hotshots Every Day in each fill-up, which may have slowed this issue down but it still happened. I also tried Opti-Lube XPD for a few months. Not much, if any, improvement. I do suspect they helped improve cetane values, but idk what else. If I had a good run, I was getting ~560 miles per tank. After some YouTube videos, I decided to try Archoil. I didn't notice anything for a couple fill-ups, but after about 1-1.5 months, I started to notice some slight improvements in mileage to/from work and some other trips. It was getting hard to hit 30 mpg on the way to work, whereas I started hitting 31-32, even with significant traffic. After 2 months, there has been a definite improvement. I'm currently seeing 33+ mpg on the way to work (same conditions as before) and reaching closer to the 38 mpg EPA advertised on my way home. I've also hit 42 mpg coming home from a friends' house, whereas before it was struggling to hit 39. Power feels like it has returned to expected levels compared to the previous treatments. My range is now reporting >600 miles per tank, even dealing with some stop and go traffic.
