While we were there, I was laying in my hammock one afternoon and saw a thunderstorm heading my way. I quickly got this out and made an emergency hammock shelter with this and some paracord. It was great and kept me dry and safe as the heavy rain and lightning storm passed right over me. After the storm, as the rain was petering out, I turned it into a pancho and wore it while taking down my hammock and all the paracord.
