It was a true rectangular cut and uniform in thickness. There was enough variation in the pebble grain that I could choose exactly the look and texture I wanted for the two slip pockets on a travel bag I am modifying. The thickness was perfect for sewing on my home machine and was soft and flexible with a little stretch. The leather smelled great. I first went to a nearby Tandy Leather store hoping to buy locally but they had almost no selection of pieces this small and what they had was much more expensive. It was shipped folded but the creases were very soft and round and not a problem for this project.
