Review: Light Effective EDC - I got this knife for less than $17 delivered, so I'm rating this as a budget knife. It reminds me of my early Spyderco budget knives in terms of being lightweight with plastic handles, no liners, and basic budget steel. The grinds are all even, the blade is centered correctly, the unique looking pocket clip works well (deep carry), the action is sufficiently smooth (no washers or bearings, just steel against plastic), and it was able to shave hair out of the box. The ergonomics are also good, and there is a nice finger groove under the pivot screw. This knife is actually better than my 80s & 90s era Spyderco knives in that there is an adjustable pivot screw (not a stamped rivet), and the heat treatment/edge holding/toughness on this blade is on par with my Buck 420hc (Bos) knives, much better than the old AUS8 offerings. I'm guessing that this knife was built to compete against the Dozier/Kbar knives in terms of basic construction, price, and quality. Initially I was a little nervous about getting a blade in the 4116 German steel (early Cold Steel 4116 budget knives I'd purchased didn't hold much of an edge), but the steel in my Wraith performs quite well. There is a very slight recurve on this blade, but it hasn't been a problem to sharpen. I would recommend that you check out the Youtube videos on this knife; lots of information on this little knife. Update 12-21-18: I've been carrying this knife around, and it has been a good EDC choice. The only thing I don't care for with this knife is that the pocket clip end sticks out too far. I'm probably going to bend it inwards with a pair of pliers to limit it snagging my office chair; no need for the extreme bend from the factory.
Review: What this knife really is. - Wraith is a small inexpensive light weight lock back knife. It is the size and weight of the Buck 284 Bantam and the Buck Rival 1. It directly competes with them. Size as CRKT Drifter but less weight. It is smaller and less weight than a RAT 2. It is not a RAT2. It is well put together and sharp. Handles are plastic.with no metal liners as so are the Buck products. Overall a good knife for its class.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice light EDC knife. Great blade, OK handle.
*by M***R on July 20, 2018*

This is a nice little EDC knife. The blade is 4116 steel, which I've read is steel used in Victorinox knife blades. The heat treat must be different though, or maybe it's the comparatively thick stock, because the Wraith holds its edge really well after cutting all sorts of every day materials (paper, cardboard, plastic ties on boxes, tape and so forth). The clip is quite thin and only fastened at one point but it retains the knife, and it's reversible left or right, tip-up only. The knife is a little stiff to deploy but workable. It may loosen up over time, or you could adjust the pivot, but I found the deployment to be "good enough" so I left it alone. The knife has no liners, just the handle, but at this size and for the intended use, that's all it needs. The handle could be better. It's just smooth plastic and it feels like it (although Ontario calls it "polymer"). There is no texturing for grip, although there is a nice finger groove. There is no jimping on the back of the blade either. Also, if you have really large hands, you are only going to be getting a three-finger grip on this knife. That being said, you get a scary sharp blade, great blade shape, strong lockback mechanism, good steel (better in my opinion than 8Cr13MoV) and a very LIGHT knife that you won't notice that you are carrying. And with a lock-back mechanism and reversible clip, it's ambidextrous if you are a lefty. It's not a RAT-2 but for around twenty dollars I like it.
