## Description

In 1930, at the impressionable age of ten, Mario Foah tied on an apron and began awaiting his mother in the kitchen of their home in Naples, Italy. The oldest of five children, he loved to cook for his younger siblings. His love of the kitchen became a lifelong passion. Many years later after he moved to New York, Mario dreamed of bringing the kind of meals his mother cooked to a much larger audience. He started his own company, and chose AMORE as the brand name because, “Love is universal and nobody is against it.” Mario returned to Italy often in search of great products and in 1978 discovered concentrated paste tubes made from fresh Italian ingredients. Having seen nothing like it in the USA, he knew that it was exactly the type of product that he could be proud to sell.

**Q: How do you use this product? Do you mix it with something?**
A: you can use it in anything you would put basil in, like soups, dips or just mixed with evoo and ground up pine nuts over pasta.

**Q: I have 5 unopened tubes in my refrigerator with a use by date of oct 2012, how do I know if it's ok to use? What do you recommend to use or to throw?**
A: The Amore website says to use opened tubes after 45 days of refrigerator storage.

**Q: What is the shelf life of the unopened tomato paste?  The price for 12 is very reasonable but I do not want them to spoil before I can use them all.**
A: The "use by" date on the box I bought is 3-31-16. It's still a lot of tomato paste, but I gave some away.

**Q: Where were the tomatoes used in this product grown?**
A: says it is a product of Italy. I keep several on pantry shelf, really like for the small addition instead of opening a can of tomato paste, refrigerate after opening
