I don't know for sure whether Bluetooth/HomeKit/Home Key can be used to unlock when a 9V is used for backup power, but my assumption is that they will work as usual. **Q: What's the battery life?** A: Depends on your usage , I’ve gotten about 6 months of normal usage on my regular assure 2 locks **Q: What features require a homekit hub?** A: Remote unlock through Apple homkit, and notifications from HomeKit.
