Review: Do some research. Listen to the seller. - So I bought this little tree in early May. I read the instructions on giving it loose, easily draining dirt, so I got the citrus/cactus mix from Miracle Gro. It seemed content, but didn't show much growth the first month and a half. Another instruction was not to water it until it started to look wilted which could take some time as it didn't need much water. Since May, I may have watered it about four times. Ive kept it inside and in direct sunlight next to a wide open window. This picture was taken on the 27th of July. Those light brown leaves appeared fairly quickly and since then have turned green. In conclusion, if given the proper soil and treatment, these little guys are bound to be happy for some time. Also, the seller does know best, and their instructions are completely worth listening to.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Transferring to a lager pot what type of soil is needed?**
A: I use mostly cactus soil mixed with some crushed red pumice. The plants have grown like crazy. The leaves are about 15" long!

**Q: what kind of cacao is this one?**
A: IT IS BASICALLY THE SAME CACAO POD, ONLY RED SKIN WHEN FULLY RIPE. THEOBROMA IS THE CAFFEINE FORM IN TEAS AND CHOCOLATES.

**Q: What variety of cacao plant is this? Can this be shipped in Manila? If so?!**
A: Not sure about variety or shipping to Manila. Seedlings are healthy grow well. Quality is good. Please contact seller for info on variety and shipping.

**Q: Does this need a second tree for pollination?**
A: I’ve read that a paintbrush would do the trick, because the insects that pollinate the cacao trees are not found in America. If that is where you’re from. Hope this helps.

I was sent a yellow pod cacao, not a red one. The plant is healthy, and well packaged, just not what was advertised.
