The outlets are rated at 12A, so if you have a hair dryer that is over 1,400 Watts, then no. This is all assuming that the parts are quality and offer no resistance at the outlets and that it has a 16AWG cord and not 18AWG like so many cheap extension cords. Cheap outlets use inexpensive contacts that actually weaken as they get hot. Then they get even hotter due to the poor connection (resistance) and the entire plug will then melt from the heat. That will lead to a short. So, bottom line: If the item is rated at 12A and can actually support that, then you're fine. No one knows but the manufacturer and they aren't responding to these questions. **Q: How close is the cutout size to the measured diagram?
