Our daughter is 31" and 24 pounds, so I got her the 2T size. The arms are just a tad long, so I rolled the cuffs twice. It fits great around the body, as is. The coat is lined with mesh in the body and sleeves, so that it doesn't stick to the child in damp warm weather, and the hood has a type of soft flannel lining. She doesn't mind it against her skin and cheeks. It's not stiff like many other raincoats and the arms bend easily when she moves. Best of all, this is a real raincoat, which is not only cute, but very waterproof. Raindrops just bead up and roll off. My son is an average size 3 year old, so I ordered him a 4T thinking he'd have room to grow, however it fits perfectly, which was disappointing for me, I had hoped it was a little larger. I should've order a 5T I suppose.
