Allows them to fall off and get ran over as that has already happened on the first use of the board with these in it. Also would think something better than double sick tape would be better to secure the piece on, but guess it doesn't matter for my daughter as the first use one fell off and was damaged. The lights are super bright which I have watched my son from 2 blocks away skating with the lights attached to his board and I was happy to see that they are very visible (and look totally cool) to cars especially. The lights are green glow, and attach to the bottom of the board with adhesive, so far so good as far as the lights not falling off. He has had only one that has "popped" off but that was due to him hitting a speed bump but overall they stick pretty well on to the board.
