I wanted to use these curtains to replace some very large, heavy wooden sliding doors that I removed from my closet. The fringe is very thin and light and tangled easily with my clothes when pulling them in and out of the closet. If you want to actually mask something behind the curtains, you will need to layer about three of these on to of each other.However, for an accent piece or decoration, these curtains are very nice. Also, they would work well to hang in a doorway that you pass through if you are just trying to create a light partition.
