    Let down by a poor tripod.

The sprinkler may be all metal but the tripod is not.  The feet are quite flimsy plastic and do not look likely to last.  The tripod legs are not braced, so the unit will collapse unless the feet are securely pushed into the ground.  The female thread at the top of the tripod is also plastic and looks flimsy.  The metal male part of the sprinkler has to screw into the plastic female part and, in my experience, the marriage of metal and plastic often ends in a leaky joint.  The screw element is just a push fit on to the metal hose rod and so the entire sprinkler assembly was pushed out after a few minutes use.  This is a poor to average product that is not worth the highish price.  Buy a Rainbird sprinkler and a tripod from somewhere else than this.
