Review: GREAT Stove single burner REPLACEMENT rate it 4.75 - GREAT Hotplate - Temporary replacement of stove top burner while kitchen is being redone. Works very well. Yes - we easily boiled water with it. Wish for 3 improvements: 1) knob gets very hot during use and almost burns fingers to turn it off. 2) wish it had an indicator that surface is still hot as it takes a while to cool down. There is red light on the top, but it is always glowing. 3) The mark on the knob is too tiny to see how it is set. We just took a magic marker and darkened the line on the face and side of the knob so it is easy to tell how you have it set. FYI: Instructions say don't turn on without a pan on top of it. Has not been an issue. For our use, it is a great heating surface.

I was very impressed at the start with it but I am more annoyed with this product. It's been hardly a month and this product stopped working already. I am not able to get in touch with the seller as well. Not sure what to do now.
