Just with a tiny glimpse of what was inside - I knew I wanted this journal. I didn't wait for the giveaway. I immediately came to Amazon and found the book. I got the message "Temporarily Out of Stock". I ordered it. I didn't have to wait more than ten days before I had this beautiful piece of artwork in my hands.This journal is completely planned and thought out in such a beautiful way! It is an experience - don't opt for a digital version of this! The cover is a coated pliable semi-hardback... close to what you might get from a leather journal. There is color throughout this beautiful book with inspiring quotes and powerful questions that keep you focused and on track. There are weekly and 90 day check-in's. There are spaces for dreams, ideas, thoughts, etc. Even the back cover is brilliantly, skillfully done. This journal is about daily intentions and reflections at the end of the day.An honest review isn't quite complete without pointing out any drawbacks... The only drawback I see is that it is planned out in seasons... It is definitely something that you start September 1st even though there are no dates in it - the illustrations and sections refer to the seasons.. ."Spring is coming.." and so on. I hope the author releases another journal to re-order after this one but that is not confined to seasons so you can start at the beginning of the journal no matter what time of year it is and still be relevant - which for the most part you can. Just ignore the occasional quotes and season references!I've already told many of my friends about this beautiful experience that the market calls a journal/book - but it doesn't do it justice. It truly is a product about creating a life that matters!I wanted to come back and update my review. I reviewed this back in August 2012 after just a few days with it in my possession. Now that it is January 2013:I was pretty excited when I stumbled across a blog post (sorry, I can't remember right now whose it was - when I figure it out I will come back and link it up) where the blogger interviewed the author about this beautiful journal. I was sold on aesthetics alone (as much as a picture on a Mac screen can do anyway)! When it arrived, I became even more excited about it! The cover is beautiful yet durable. (I carry it with me everywhere and it has also survived my 5 year old - it hardly shows any wear at all except the crease that proves I do open it and use it regularly.) The ENTIRE journal is in full color! The pages have just enough space, just enough lines and printed on quality paper. It draws me in. It dares me to engage with both the journal and with life daily! It keeps me focused on where my attitude and mindset are daily. And daily, I am encouraged to live out my own greatness through "I AM" affirmations.Aesthetics is one thing. However, it is more than a pretty paperweight or shelf decoration - so do NOT let it become that! Everything about this journal whispers (and yes, sometimes screams) the message that it was meant for more. It entices you to pick it up, open it, read it, write in it, reflect on it and live your life out with conscious effort and strategy! The first 30 pages or so sets you up for success. The author gives you great information, tools, strategy and inspiration for your journey through dailygreatness to Daily Greatness. She starts you out with purpose, goals, mission and a greatness blueprint! There is a yearly planner, 90 day planner, weekly planner, weekly check-in (which is different than the weekly planner) and individual daily pages which include planning for the day as well as gratitude and reflection to return to your journal at the end of the day.This is the most successful journey I have ever experienced with a journal before. (There have been many starts... and just as many stops... until now!) Sure, I miss days now and again, however, the journal is not pre-dated and so I can easily pick up where I left off.The only draw back that I have noted about this is that it has some reference to seasons as if the reader (well, in the USA anyway) was meant to start on September 1st. I would have left off the seasonal references. I enjoy them so they are not a distraction and it's only once every 90 days. (I would also pay more if it were offered in a nice leather bound option.) I hope she keeps this in print or releases another one!I can't say enough about this journal and you will hear more from me about it in coming months as I reflect back to it since it has become a very big part of my daily journey. The daily set of prompts and questions are exactly what I need to set my intentions for each day and to review my progress. I work full time, have two kids and I'm growing my own online business, so I have to be super organised with my time and effort.. and this fabulous book is just what I needed to get on track and put the most consistent and effective effort in to all that I do.I had toyed with the idea of getting a gratitude journal, but this is so much more than that whilst also giving me a chance to write down everyday at least one or two things that I am grateful for.. and that simple process makes a lot of difference to your life.. you should try it!Overall, the size, shape and content of this journal is precisely what I wanted.. just the right amount of room to write each day with the fairly limited time I have. If you want to pour our your heart every night, you might need a bit more room.. but that sort of journalling usually requires only blank pages.One thing I noticed is that there is some reference to the seasons, but if you start the journal on 1st January, it isn't timed right. There could be more by way of principles and I was disappointed that the vast bulk of the journal (maybe 80% +) is merely identical copy. However, I guess if one is to commit to using it daily, it would instil positivity into one's life as one is to focus on "greatness" and would have goals to achieve in a tangible way. The colour and lettering on the cover are beautiful and hence this is a pleasure to use and would be a lovely gift.
