The patches come in a good selection of bright colours and there's plenty in the pack, so I never feel like I have to save them for particularly bad breakouts. Despite looking fun, they do exactly what I'd expect from a hydrocolloid patch. If I catch a spot early enough and leave one on for six to eight hours (or overnight), I've often found that it reduces the inflammation dramatically, and occasionally the spot is almost gone by the time I take the patch off. Something I didn't expect is that I've become quite happy wearing them outside the house. I've even worn them at work a few times, which would have felt quite strange a few years ago, but colourful pimple patches seem to have become much more socially acceptable. In a way, I quite like that—they're practical, and I don't feel the need to hide them. The only word of caution I'd add is based entirely on my own trial and error. These work really well on intact spots, but I wouldn't recommend putting them on skin that's already been broken, for example if you've accidentally scratched or picked at a blemish. I found they tended to keep the area moist for longer than was helpful, and the small wound took longer to close up. Since using them only on unbroken spots, I've had much better results. Overall, I've been really pleased with them.
