"SES90MLMF2" replacement rod snapped on me today while fishing. *by G***G on July 6, 2023* I am a big fan of St. Croix rods due to their excellent brand reputation, appealing design, and comfortable ergonomics. However, I have experienced a frustrating issue with my second replacement rod, the "SES90MLMF2." Unfortunately, while loading the cast with my usual 1/2oz jig head and Keitech swim bait, which falls within the recommended weight category, the rod snapped once again. (see attached photos of both rods) This is now the second replacement rod that has broken in the same area during the cast loading process. It's worth mentioning that I have used or continue to use many other surf rod brands without encountering this problem.
