Review: The Unicorn of Non-Toxic Lunchboxes - This lunch box is truly the unicorn we were looking for, and I couldn't believe I had found it! I bought about 3 of these when my oldest son started preschool, because I knew he'd need to bring a "real" lunch and wanted something that wasn't plastic, wasn't breakable, and that he could easily use on his own. This lunchbox has it all: 1. Easy to use - simple silicone tabs that go on/off stainless posts are easy for little hands to manipulate 2. Easy to clean - we always rinse before putting in the dishwasher, or scrub when handwashing, and it always comes out clean. Previous plastic containers would get moldy, and I could not for the life of me get that discoloration off. 3. Durability - I rotated between these 3 lunchboxes every day for 1.5 years, before needing to get a replacement for one. The only reason I needed a replacement was that one of the back hinges had broken. This was my ONLY complaint originally, was that that silicone seemed a little flimsy/thin for the main operating point, but this has been fixed in recent versions of this lunchbox, with THICKER, doubly firm silicone for the hinges!!! I was overjoyed to find this out when I ordered a replacement. 4. Long Lasting - yes, these are "expensive", but they are also AWESOME. "You get what you pay for" rings true here and I recommend these to friends who want a non-toxic, unbreakable lunchbox every chance I get. 5. Fun colors! - My sons love the bright and vibrant lids. He always asks for the hot pink and the bright green - please make more bright colors! Summary: Get these for your kids. My son was using it on his own when he was 2.5 at preschool, and he LOVED the independence he got to enjoy, like all the "big kids". The value for money cannot be beat for a non-toxic, durable, high-quality lunchbox.

I see people have been having issues with things breaking but we've been using it for 2 months and so far so good. I love the design, the fact that it's able to separate the lid from the base (absolutely hate washing other brand's big and bulky bento boxes and trying to juggle the lid and base simultaneously..) and that you can dishwasher it (only tried it once but I feel like it is just safer and so easy to clean by hand. Perfect portions for my 6 year old, and if any of the bigger compartments need separating, I just use cupcake liners to put smaller items in them. Such a great, durable, product and I'm so happy with the design, durability, and ease of it all! Very much worth the price imo :)

Omg loveeee this bento! I see people have been having issues with things breaking but we've been using it for 2 months and so far so good. I bought one of these about 8 months ago for my 4 year old. He has been able to use it for school daily with no problems. The seal on the lid is tight enough that I can put yogurt in one of the compartments and it does not leak when turned on its side. I recently noticed some cracking in the silicone around one of the peg holes and contacted the company's customer service about ordering a replacement. They requested my original order number and a picture of the damage. After I sent those, they mailed me a new lid, free of charge! I certainly did not expect a free replacement, but I appreciate that they were willing to do that for me.
