I then tried the 2nd method of plugging it into the receiver, but that did not work either. My receiver board was not like the diagram supplied. I did eventually program it and it works very well, very pleased. The supplied instructions were incorrect where they say "Disconnect your receiver". It has to be connected and have the mains power supply on. The receiver board should not be removed, there are two holes in the plastic front to plug in the new remote. just plug it in and then press the button you want to be used on the new remote. A few LEDs flash on the receiver and I kept pressing for 5 seconds.
