Though the instruction recommends 60 minutes in the freezer, I was much less patient than that to try the wrap. I gave it about 20 minutes then wanted to try the fit and comfort. It was the already the perfect temperature and felt amazing. The wrap is soft, flexible and comfortable and stays in place unlike trying to hold an icepack with a towel. The design allows for you to target the area needed. I have pain in my hand and wrist and it covered both. Later I left it overnight and the ice was far too hard and at a painful temperature, so I do recommend the short term freeze.
