I was muddled by the wide thick metal spring and depending on your weight... it can become loose on the screws under the seat if you do not use the Alan key that comes with the chair to check it every once in a while...I had to check the bolts under the seat many times in two days in order for it to be completely and utterly stable and secure after a friend of mine sat on it and leant back on the backrest so much that the chair decided to not be able to take his weight...In terms of sturdiness, I would say to be ready to do a few ground checks with screws before long term sitting. Easy to essemble, lets just say you might need a helping hand if you are mildly autistic or/and got anxiety disorder. Comfort, all in all I love it!
