After about a day or two of sleeping on it, it has smoothed out. While it has made a noticeable difference in the softness of my bed, it is not completely plush and soft. I'm not sure that there is a product out there that can truly turn a firm bed into a plush bed without replacing it but, this bed cover is decent enough.
