## Description

The newly redesigned Fly Racing Dirt Maverik Boots are every bit as protective as the previous version while maintaining a comfortable price point for the entry level rider. The reimagined sole keeps the weight down and offers impressive grip. Much like the FR5 Boots, the Maverik Boots also employ a brand new 4-stage sole design. Stage one is a perforated plush insole resting above the innovative second stage, an injected midsole with a unique fishbone design which is lightweight yet incredibly strong. The durable mid-sole is then further enhanced by the addition of a rigid in-mold flex reducing steel shank. Stage three is a fishbone foam layer designed to transfer shock and vibration which is then encased in the final stage, an anti-vibration molded traction sole.

Review: Worth it - Starting off, i use these for street riding on a street bike (MT07). I know these are not ment for street but the options for street boots are very limited, the lower priced ones are poor quality and the expensive ones Aplinestars are expensive, and these are a happy medium. I dont regret getting these at all, initially out the box they were crazy stiff and hard to ride in, but after a while i got the hang of how far to push my foot down to shift up and down. When i first got these i was riding everyday rain or shine hot or cold, they are not water proof they dont claim to be either the help with mist but not a ton of it so i have Harley boot covers that do the trick. When ur feet are dry they stay reasonably warm not warm enough for snowy climats but warm enough for a east coast USA winter. They look great, u obviously look like u ride a bike walking around in them but they're protective so i dont care. After all this time of using them every day these things show no signs of wear, the toe where i shift isnt wearing the heel has held up where ive drug it when coming to a stop when i was first getting used to them, the only thing ive had to do is readjust my straps which are easy to do you could tighten them without unclipping, then to add a bonus if they were to break they sell the klips so u dont have to trash the whole boot. They were a bit heavy in the beginning and like all new gear you need to ride in them and get the feeling before going on any long rides just to be safe. Finally, just for cool factor i dont know the purpose but the metal on the toes do spark if you put em down when at speed.

Starting off, i use these for street riding on a street bike (MT07). If you're just starting out and don't want to break the bank on a set of boots, start with these. We don't race motocross, but we do ride dirtbikes pretty hard on sandy/bumpy trails. The size runs kind of small; I wear a 10 1/2 to 11 and my son wears a 12. I ordered a size 12 and the boots fit me perfectly and just a little tight on my son. They are easier to walk in than my Fox Racing boots, there is more flexibility in the ankle, but not so much I'm worried about its safety. They are thick and padded well without being too bulky. The binders aren't bullet proof but we haven't had any issues yet. Looks like they can be easily replaced if needed.
