(Yet) *by S***K on Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2015* This is the first time I've rated a product 5 stars and am not using it. I'll get to that in a minute....So about this paracord watchband. It is indeed a paracord watchband. Seems to be lots of paracord on this watchband. Also they have a pretty smart way of adjusting the watchband to your wrist size using a wide piece of Velcro looped through one of the buckles. The construction seems solid, it uses the standard black plastic clips that many other paracord bracelets use and they certainly seem to be durable and of good quality. The "weave" or braiding of the paracord bracelet is made is nice, evenly braided and very professionally done. Yet, my watch is not on this watchband. Why? It's not because of the quality, or even the looks. Well a little of the looks, but mostly the practicality of it. I have a farily large watch. A Casio Protrek Pathfinder. It's not one of those obnoxiously large watches, but it does stick up a bit from my wrist. So when I put it on the Survco paracord watchband, it sticks up darn near an inch from my wrist. Now, I'm pretty hard on watches. Went through 3 in Basic Training alone. I can't tell you how many watches and watch bands I've gone through, especially in the 15 yrs I was a soldier. I don't think I would wear this watchband out though. This thing does look tough. Also if I in fact had a slimmer profile watch, I would be wearing this thing in a NY second. Let me tell you NO ONE has a paracord watchband!! So, I gave this watchband 5 stars, because it is in fact everything the seller, Survco said it was. It really is made with quality and I believe a great deal of pride. It is adjustable as I mentioned and smartly designed at that. So even though I'm choosing not to wear this watchband with my current kind of expensive watch, I cannot ding the item or Survco a star because of that. It just wouldn't be right. I know there are probably 25 million reviewers out there that may feel different, but they aren't writing the review I am.So what I will do, is keep this paracord watchband. I may even wear it just to wear it. I will at some point by a slimmer decently priced tactical like watch. (I can't see putting a Bulova on this thing - this watchband deserves a good, hard-working "soldier's watch". And when I put that thinner watch on this band, I will wear it with pride and distinction! Because seriously I have yet to see anyone wearing one!Now I did read the review, probably just above mine or two reviews above, where he cut out a layer of paracord and melted the loose ends. I'm not going to do that because that would be defeating the whole purpose of having a paracord watchband. I believe in that case it truly is all about how it "looks" Maybe that's a good time to throw out the word "tacti-cool". I bought this for the same reason I bought anything else paracord and that's for the paracord. I imagine it's going to be a kodak moment when the guys goes to strip down his watchband and has like 15 pieces 8" long, rather than one very long section of 550 cord. that just didn't make any sense to me!Anyway, if you have a thin watch, or you aren't as clumsy and hard on watches as I am, then I highly recommend this 550 cord watchband. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars I LIKE THIS WATCHBAND *by A***P on Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2016* I received my watchband about the last week of January. Packaging was great. On inspection, I found the band to be HUGE. Otherwise, it was exactly as described. There's A LOT of 550 cord here. It took me about 5 minutes to remove my Timex watch its factory band, which is about 3/4 of inch wide, and onto this one. After trying it on, I noticed that the band was too tight. Since it is adjustable, obtaining the proper fit was fairly easy. This watchband is MASSIVE but also impressive. Other than washing my hands, my band is not exposed to a lot of water. But unlike many of the reviewers, I wish it was about 1/2 inch longer so it was a bit more comfortable around my ham hock wrist. The Velcro adjustment is great and will fit 99.9% of the folks just fine. It just barely fits me but I'm a really big guy.
