T was surprised, because I got exactly what I ordered. The #8 has the most yardage at 875 (800 meters) yards in a 100 gram ball (3.5 ounces). This means you'll be getting a really thin yarn and is considered cobweb to laceweight. In other words - it's about the same thickness as #10 crochet cotton or as my one friend calls it - doily thread. With that said, the golo Wool Yarn Size 8 is a nice yarn. Mine arrived in a lovely pink organza bag that had pink ribbon pulls and pink ribbon handles. This bag will certainly be able to be used again! The yarn label had NO information about content, yardage, etc. - just manufacturing information and a link to their website. My suggestion is to hand wash and block dry for care. I cannot comment on the color of the yarn, as I got one much different than the one I had chosen. It could be that there is really no choice for Vine members and that's OK with me, because I like the color I received.
