The unwrapping exposes the sticky bands. I've encountered only two minor issues. At times the wide end is folded tightly in the package causing a crease that won't relax. So, it's difficult to get the shield to lay flat. The adhesive at times sticks tight enough to your underwear to cause the adhesive to pull loose from the shield when removing. This has only happened a few times.
