I love the compact size of them. They are light weight and easy to carry around. I find that if the binoculars are bigger, I would never take them with me when I go hiking in the woods. They also come with a carrying case and a strap that attaches to the binoculars. Even though the binoculars are smaller, they are very clear, and give a great picture of what you are looking at.
