Add dogs in there and your butt is gonna be hanging out in the middle of the night on most quilts these days because you're gonna be sleeping on the edge.This quilt is plenty WIDE enough as a kind on a queen sized bed. It's a bit short otherwise tho. While I can pull it up to cover my pillows, not much is left at the bottom and the pillows aren't completely covered. I have zero interest in the pillow shams and haven't the slightest idea why everyone shorts the quilts in favor of these. Mine will just get tossed in the donate pile.It looks nice and is soft, which I like. This quilt is much nicer than I even expected. It's very soft and comfortable feeling. Sometimes I feel like just going to sleep on top of it and not even getting under the sheet and quilt. I have a queen bed but bought a king size so that it would hang further down on the end and sides of my bed. The only problem with doing that is the shams are king size too but my pillows are still queen, they're really big. The color I bought, Blue Paulo, gives my room a pop of color. I've also had several foot surgeries and heavy blankets and quilts push down on my foot which is very uncomfortable. This is lightweight but warm enough. I may even try to use it for the winter here and just add another blanket underneath.
