Review: Un-Conditionally great stuff. Updated! - ---update!!--- The one problem I had with this stuff is solved! The one way valve makes it hard to control how much comes out.... Just unscrew the cap and it works perfectly!---- ____ This is the stuff to put on your tattoo as it is healing. This stuff works differently than just lotion. It is cooling which is nice for itching and it moisturizes well. It creates a film over the tattoo that keeps it moisturized longer. If you are wearing loose clothes or if the tattoo is in an open area its perfect stuff..... If it is in an area that has tighter clothes or if your clothes have any lint it is a bit of a sticky mess. I had it on my thigh while I was sleeping and woke up with linty sticky mess that I had to wash off my leg. It was like a patch of felt on my leg. It was kind of funny, but I wont use it there again. Also my clothes would stick to it there. It was perfect on my ankle and my wrist. Also the container is...difficult. it has a one way valve in it which is kinda good as it keeps air from getting in and it keeps longer. However if you have a small tattoo, get ready to Always have too much. You have to put enough force on the tube that you cant just get a tiny little dot of the stuff you have to put enough force to make the valve disengage and you have a quarter sized splotch every time. So I really like this stuff....when it works..... And now it will because I can just unscrew the cap and get exactly what I need!
Review: Definitely helps healing! - I just got inked up for the first time (I’m 31 year old male). My tattooo artist recommended taking the patch off the next morning and cleaning it with dial soap, damping blood off fresh ink and let it air dry, then apply lotion after a week. Which is what I did, my gangar tattoo(first time tattoo) got bloody and would have to apply a paper towel to soak up the blood after the first couple of days, I also got a mild itch but did not scratch it, let it air dry and noticed my tattoo would crust up and shed. 2 weeks in I saw an ad on IG and thought I give it a try for my next appointment (2 week after my first tattoo). I decided to go all out and get big pieces on my next appointment, I used it for the first time on these new ones( haunter and they live picture) Immediately after suing it, I noticed a HUGE difference, I didn’t not bleed out my leg like my first time, and mind you these are way bigger and a lot more detailed than my gangar one, I cleaned it with dial soap and applied the product right after damping my skin with a paper towel and noticed that my tattoo area was not itchy at all or oozed out any blood, kept it nice and moisturized without adding lotion, this is a gel. I don’t how how it works tbh but it’s like how it traps all the moisture into your tattoo, without letting any blood or dead skin out, it’s crazy but definitely works. Again, this is my first time stepping into this realm and 100% recommend trying this product out to prevent any itchy or dry skin from occurring. Your spending so much on art on your body, might as well spend a couple bucks to ease the process. Highly recommend for anyone getting a tattoo, I am going to get several more and will definitely be buying more of these. I’m excited to use more of thier products, but for now I will stick will dial soap and this for the next day recovery, instructions say 14 days but I think after 10 days or even a week it should be good. Currently 3 days in and could tell a huge difference in recovery process.

**Q: Is this for only the first couple of days, while it itches and starts peeling? And can i use it starting the day after, when you remove the bandage?**
A: It really hurt my fresh tattoo. I had to wash it off almost immediately. Around day 4, when the itching started, I tried it again and was so impressed. I had minimal itching, but I had to wait until that point to use the gel because it wasn’t comfortable at all on my fresh tat.

**Q: This stuff stings like mad. Is this normal on a fresh tattoo?**
A: That's because one of the ingredients (vitamin C) is an acid. Once a tattoo starts peeling (usually on the 3rd day if correctly applied) NO ointment should be used until the peeling stops. Most of these ointments have way too many ingredients for healing skin to contend with and actually prolong healing. I've Been tattooing 33years and I've been working with all kinds of these products but the one thing I now recommend is simply organic coconut oil. I also use it while applying tattoos as well as the first 3 days after completion. Simpler is best.

**Q: Is it supposed to sting like when putting hydrogen peroxide on a cut because this burns**
A: It will sting a little bit when applied to a fresh/new tattoo.  This is because of skin abrasion from needle.

**Q: Why does the package indicate not to use in damaged or broken skin? avfresh tattoo is damaged and broken skin. what is the intended use of this produc**
A: This is to help in the healing process of a new tattoo or add moisture to an already healed tattoo. if you have damaged or broken skin you have a risk of infection. Contact your dr.
