A: The orange tip will activate just like the real thing but there is no needle inside.

**Q: Can you put a needle inside and use it as a real epi pen?**
A: No this is a training device and can only be used as a training device. You cannot add a needle or epinephrine to this device.

**Q: What Is The Shelf Life?**
A: This is a trainer pen. It does not have any form of medication in it. It is simply a durable, three piece, plastic faux EpiPen therefore shelf life would not apply.

**Q: comes the training epipen and epipen app?**
A: If you are asking if this product includes the EpiPen App, no it does not- you are just buying the training device. The app is available for free download from Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
