Unlike other dog pool ramps, WAG Boarding Steps Model XPM-6A provide your pet with a stable, natural stepping motion to climb up or down. The pivoting, 6-step design provides a vertical rise of 24" (bottom step to deck) to work on platforms up to 12" above the water. The dog pool steps design cantilevers into the water at a dog-friendly 45-degree angle. It does not touch the inside of the pool like other products avoiding any damage to the liner or finish of your pool. The 4" deep, flat steps with integral toe plate and 4" step height is suitable for dogs of all heights and have a slip-resistant top surface. If you have a deck adjacent to your above-ground pool, the XPM-6 mounts to the deck and extends over the pool lip and cantilevers into the pool. You should review the Owner's Manual on our website. Call with questions. **Q: Can these work from a pontoon in a lake?** A: No, they do not go down far enough. You will need the HSM-10 listed on Amazon or view our website for other options. **Q: Our pool is 1,5 meters deep. Which model must we use?** A: As long as your pool is more than 28" deep (which it is), either model will work because they are designed not to touch the bottom of the pool. The only difference is how far back the pivot mount is from the inside edge of the pool. It is 8" on the PM-6 and 16" on the XPM-6. If your pool is in-ground with a typical concrete deck surrounding it, you can use the PM-6. These steps are absolutely perfect! I have a funny pool that has slanted walls so no other stairs would do, as they would have no way to stablize on the bottom….these fit the bill perfectly (as you can see) they don’t touch the pool edge or liner! Absolutely as described. Also the ladder is completely removable so when not in use it comes off and two small rounded brackets remain. Easy install two screws.
