The main difference is the case now has a lip that offers a bumper on the front of the phone. So, if you drop your phone, it’s more protected. It also seems to have a better fit because the new lip makes it fit tighter to the phone. The silicon is also easy to grip so it makes it harder to drop your phone in general.
