Raw Beech Forest Honeydew Honey comes from the untouched, native, ancient beech forest that stretches along the base of the Southern Alps in the South Island of New Zealand. There is no other activity here other than beekeeping, resulting in a honey as pure and natural as you will ever find. Aphids that live on the beech trees eat the sap and from it they produce a sugar-like substance that they leave in drops on the bark of the tree - these drops sparkle in the sunlight, hence the name honeydew. The bees love this honeydew, collect it and produce a fantastic end product. This is what makes Raw Beech Forest Honeydew uniquely different from other honeys that are made from the nectar of flowers. TASTE Our Raw Beech Forest Honeydew Honey is a fine, silky smooth honey with a deep gold-chestnut red colour. It has a clean and refreshing flavour that’s not too sweet, with hints of vanilla and malt. The Raw Beech Forest Honeydew has a spicy orange peel aroma and has a consistency similar to that of treacle. BEST USES Our Raw Beech Forest Honeydew is wonderfully versatile. It is delicious as a spread with nutty breads, and works well with fresh cheeses such as ricotta or mascarpone, as well as harder cheeses such as a mature cheddar. The flavour profile works beautifully with poultry or seafood, and goes well in Moroccan style dishes. It is also equally delicious drizzled over fresh figs, cakes or pancakes and waffles. ## Features - About this item - RAW BEECH FOREST HONEYDEW - this honey comes from the untouched native beech forest found along the base of the Southern Alps in the South Island of New Zealand; harvested raw, our honey is a natural living food meaning it still contains all the natural pollens and enzymes as it is the original sweet liquid produced by the bees - DELICIOUS - Raw Beech Forest Honeydew is dark amber in colour, resembling golden syrup or treacle, has hints of vanilla and malt and is not too sweet - BOOSTS BENEFICIAL MICROBES - Raw Beech Forest Honeydew feeds and boosts the growth of the digestive flora (good microbes), in our intestines; these microbes help to absorb essential nutrients including calcium, neutralise harmful toxins and strengthen the immune system - 100% NEW ZEALAND MADE - New Zealand is unique in the world as it doesn’t allow for the importation of honey and all our batches are independently tested, meaning you can be completely sure what you receive is 100% genuine, as stated on the jar - VARIETY OF USES - Raw Beech Forest Honeydew is a wonderfully versatile honey; it works well in poultry or seafood marinades, compliments fresh cheeses such as ricotta or mascarpone, and is equally delicious drizzled over fresh fruit, pancakes and baklava ## Images ![New Zealand Honey Co. As for taste, this beech honeydew has an acquired taste that might be pleasing for some, while others may not like it that much. As for me, I like all types of real authentic honey, and yes, I do have a favorite, which is clover honey that i bought from the same seller. it is fantastic! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Get raw Manuka honey it's better than this product *by G***E on Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2020* I was very disappointed with this honey it tastes great but I can tell you that Manuka Honey is way better there are other brands out there that make a way better honey than this that give you more for your money ### ⭐⭐⭐ Raw honey is what bees eat *by P***7 on Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2019* I find that it has a strange smell and the taste and texture is different than what I am accustomed to, but I bought it for my cat to boost his immune system. So far so good. I can only say if you aren’t used to raw honey don’t buy it, if you like different types of honey it’s a good product. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/72713429-new-zealand-honey-co-raw-beech-forest-honeydew-honey-17](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/72713429-new-zealand-honey-co-raw-beech-forest-honeydew-honey-17) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
