My cat hated getting in to her hard-shell crate when I had to go to the vet and then carrying it was a huge pain. This makes it SO easy and she doesn't cry when she's in it. I was honestly under the impression it would not be very functional and that the backpack wearing option would not be advisable... to my surprise - this carrier is actually quite perfect and I have zero complaints. my dog was instantly very comfortable in it and she enjoys having a view from all four corners of this backpack.
