## Questions & Answers

**Q: Where exactly are these black (turtle) beans grown? If their distributed from NY, how fresh could they be?**
A: Southern states

**Q: How Do You Soften This?**
A: All dried beans including dried black beans can be softened and cooked in various ways. .... The easiest/quickest is by pressure cooking them. Or they can be cooked in the oven or on the stovetop in only 20-30 min longer than if soaked (often starting with boiling water). Or they can be pre-soaked and then cooked afterwards (quick-soaked by boiling for 1-2 min then letting sit for an hour; or regular soaked by soaking in water at least 4-6 hours).... I pressure cook my black and other beans/lentils all the time from dried (in an Instant Pot for me). https://www.latimes.com/food/dailydish/la-dd-dont-soak-dried-beans-20140911-story.html

**Q: Is this one 4lb bag or two?**
A: It's one 4# bag. Delicious beans!

**Q: What Are The Health Benefits?**
A: Good protein, good carbs, and a lot of fiber
