This exciters small size enables audio reproduction in places never imagined: toys, monitors, cabinet doors... even windows! A neodymium magnet is employed to create maximum magnetic flux around the proprietary voice coil for increased sensitivity when compared to similar sized exciters. In turn, this reduces power requirements and makes it possible to use very small audio amplifiers, without sacrificing total output. The 1" voice coil, and cooling vents, allows for more input power for higher output applications while maintaining a slim-line form factor. To ensure maximum acoustic energy transfer between the transducer and the surface to which it is attached, 3M VHB (Very High Bond) adhesive is pre-applied... just peel and stick! For permanent inverted mounting (or when mounting on moving surfaces), four screw tabs are also provided to support the weight of the exciter. Two PCB solder points keep installation and wiring as compact as possible. Note: An exciters frequency response and sensitivity are completely dependent on the exciters designated surface. Review: Awesome sound, amazing clarify of high and mid. - Awesome high end, clearly defined separation between ranges. Quality of sound drops off towards the bottom so sub required. After seeing that YouTube video, I experimented with board material and size before i found a combination that suited my ear. I connected 2 exciters in series per speaker, which were made up of 2*5mm foam boards sandwiched together for 1 exciter and a sperate larger EPS board for the other. For me it took a bit of time to adjust to dml speaker 'sound', compared to a loudspeaker it was more like listening to headphones, or maybe they just took a while to burn in, but after that adjustment my more expensive loud speakers sound less defined and less 'full' in comparison. I wouldnt now go back to loudspeakers for my main speakers now.
Review: Work great for a panel speaker system - Bought these for a speaker system as from the techingredients YouTube channel to connect to an icepower 125asx2. Mounted to a 1200mm X 600mm X 30mm XPS insulation board. Along with a small subwoofer, these sound really good, way better than the small speakers I was using before. Not loud but enough volume to fill the room. Once I coat the XPS panel to blend in with the wall, it'll be a really neat way of getting a decent sound with no massive speaker cabinets

**Q: Why does this listing show the per item cost as half the total price if these aren't sold in pairs?**
A: I bought mine several years back and do not remember if they came in pairs then. But if you can afford it they are a lot of fun to experiment with and depending on what kind of surface you use can produce some of the best sound.. Good luck, have fun!

**Q: What us the range on these and how loud can they get?**
A: The volume and range are both wholey dependant on what you mount it on. Heavier more solid materials like thick hardwoods give a lower tone, and lighter things like rigid foam are higher. Two of these mounted on the wall or to your coffee table will suprize you with the volume, and range. Drywall, or glass sounds really cool. I have purchased over a dozen excites, most are Dayton, and built some really great stuff.

**Q: How are these mounted?  Just by the circular dual sided tape?  Don't they vibrate off the surface they're mounted to?**
A: Yes just the double sided tape. I've had around 8 installed to foam over a year and only one has fallen off so I just epoxied that on back in place.

**Q: What is the weight of this unit? Plan to use in drones**
A: I do have a pair but they are up in the shop rafters.. (they say 3.87 ounces..) you know that they will need a "surface" to vibrate such as cardboard in my case. The sound they make by themselves is not much. They may also vibrate the drone.. But they do make a great sound when done right.. well worth you money even if you can not use them on a drone... hope that helped.. good luck to you..

Awesome high end, clearly defined separation between ranges. Quality of sound drops off towards the bottom so sub required. After seeing that YouTube video, I experimented with board material and size before i found a combination that suited my ear. I connected 2 exciters in series per speaker, which were made up of 2*5mm foam boards sandwiched together for 1 exciter and a sperate larger EPS board for the other. For me it took a bit of time to adjust to dml speaker 'sound', compared to a loudspeaker it was more like listening to headphones, or maybe they just took a while to burn in, but after that adjustment my more expensive loud speakers sound less defined and less 'full' in comparison. I wouldnt now go back to loudspeakers for my main speakers now.

For £14.99 you can't go wrong with these. That's beer money. I have spent more and been less impressed (Dayton Audio DAEX25SHF-4 Steered High Flux 25mm Exciter 20W come to mind). Bang for buck these are better than Dayton Audio DAEX32EP-4. Live sound stage and very dynamic don't let the physical build put you off (compared to the more substantial looking DAEX32-4). These are actually heavier than the DAEX32EP-4. and the resonance is lower frequency too. Downsides are that there is less bass than the DAEX32EP-4 but there is more clarity and dynamics. These drivers love bigger panels as the bass is enhanced a bit (to make up). Some people may want to add a subwoofer as well but I prefer a more natural sound. Guitars and piano's sound like these instruments without tonal colour added But they are not for Drum and Bass heads. So a Plywwod sheet of 6mm 1200 x 300mm works a treat especially if hung using Peerless Universal Stands (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008S4J6OQ/) Back of the speakers picture with this review showing the driver mounted 2/5th, 3/5th rule (with extra VHB tape added)
