I have the bead breaker tool and have used it on automotive tires with no issues Review: New favorite tire changers - These are my new favorite tire tools for changing off-road motorcycle tires. The big deal on these, that isn't obvious from the pictures, one of the levers has a small slip on the backside which allows you to just barely, but firmly, hook the rim. This ensures you can get leverage and take a bite all while ensuring the lever isn't too deep and pinching the tube. I thought these where going to be too short at first, not giving you much leverage, but if you're getting the opposite side of the tire to seat into the rim's center groove, this isn't an issue. You don't need huge tire irons. I've started using these at home for tire changes now too, instead of my large levers, when changing wheels with tubes. I still opt for the large irons for changing tires with foam inserts. These fit perfectly in both my Tusk tool pouch as well as my Endurastan pouch. I've used these in the field multiple times, and great tools, don't cheap out.
