Review: Texture and One Flavor Horrible - Ok, so with all the hype about this candy, I really wanted to like it. I was very excited to finally order it and get it to try. Here was the one thing I loved: The bubblegum flavor was amazing! Here's what I didn't like: The flavor of the rhubarb & custard was horrible. I generally like rhubarb, but this was something else. I didn't think a custard flavor coukd be bad, but it was. My biggest issue was that with both of these flavors, the texture was all over the place. In some spots it was nice and soft, in other places it was rock hard. Talk about not being enjoyable to eat. The bubblegum flavor was spot on, really great. But with having soft spots and hard spots in every single piece, it made it hard to enjoy. The rhubarb and custard was horrible in the same texture way, but the flavor was also just gross. I had hesitated to order for awhile due to the price, but I love the US version of the smarties squashies that I have found, and everything I have read says the UK version is so much better. I am on a very tight, limited budget so I had not ordered these until now, because in my mind, they wete going to be worth almost $9 for two small bags of treats. Don't waste your money on these.
